Manna Ministry

Our Manna Ministry serves a FREE LUNCH to anyone in need on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm.

The meal is served at the Culpeper Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall, 301 South Main Street, Culpeper, VA 22701.

Manna Ministry seeks to share nourishment, compassion, and hope in Christ's name to all who enter.

Manna Ministry serves between 80 and 100 meals on any given day.

Local stores donate food, including baked goods and meat.

Our long range vision is to serve a meal to those in need on a daily basis (5 days a week) at the Culpeper Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall. Currently Manna Ministry is seeking organizations that would be willing to host another day or days that would allow Manna to expand to Tuesdays, and/or Thursdays.

Manna Ministry Timeline

2004- November; Manna Ministry began serving one meal a week on Wednesdays in the Culpeper Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall

2008- September: Manna Ministry expands with the help of Mountain View Church, serving an additional meal on Mondays

2009- November: Manna Ministry expands with the help of Culpeper United Methodist Church, Hopewell Methodist Church, and Richardsville Methodist Church to serving a bagged lunch on the 2nd and 4th Fridays.

2011- May: Culpeper Presbyterian Church begins offering meals on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Fridays in order provide a consistent weekly Friday offering.

2012- February: First Annual Yard Sale Fundraiser, has been held every year since

2013- February: Hired a part-time director to assist with overall communication between the churches in the ministry

2013- November: Received "Non-Profit of the Year" Award from the Culpeper Chamber of Commerce

2013- November: Culpeper Ministerial Association chose Manna to be the recipient of the offering at the Annual Thanksgiving Community Service (approximately $1,300 was raised)

2011, 2012, 2013- Recipient of a $2,000 grant from Cargill-Horizon Milling Corporation

2015- July: Food Lion FEEDS Charitable Foundation donates $3,000

2016- July: Recipient of a Culpeper Wellness Foundation Healthy Living Grant
